What the Yarbo Core Does
The Core is the chassis, the brain, the battery, and the navigation system all in one. Attach any Yarbo module — mower, snow blower, blower, trimmer — and the Core becomes that machine. Remove the module, attach another, and it becomes something different. No rewiring. No reconfiguration. Push, click, and go.
Beyond powering modules, the Core operates independently with a full set of built-in capabilities that no other robotic yard tool offers.
Core Capabilities
GPS-Guided Navigation — Dual-antenna RTK-GPS combined with stereo vision cameras, IMU, odometry, and onboard AI creates centimetre-level positioning accuracy across your entire property. The Core maps your yard through the app, sets virtual boundaries, and navigates its own route without a single buried wire. Works reliably under tree canopy and near structures where GPS signal weakens, using vision and odometry to fill the gap.
Obstacle Avoidance — Three cameras plus ultrasonic radar detect obstacles up to 5 feet ahead and 16 feet to the sides. Objects, people, and pets are identified and navigated around automatically. The three-stage bumper system provides a final physical failsafe if something appears in a blind spot. The Core does not bump into things and keep going — it stops, routes around, and continues on its plan.
500 lb Towing Capacity — The included tow hitch allows the Core to pull trailers, yard carts, garden equipment, and materials across your property with a rated towing capacity of 500 lbs (3,500 lbs rolling weight). Whether you're moving firewood, hauling tools across a large lot, or towing landscaping equipment between zones, the Core handles it on command or on a set route — hands free.
Follow-Me Mode — The Core identifies and tracks a designated person, maintaining a 2 to 5 metre following distance automatically. Use it to haul gear while you work, carry supplies while you walk the property, or transport equipment between areas without driving it manually. It monitors its surroundings while following — if someone steps into its path, it stops instantly.
Property Patrol & Security — With real-time video streaming from its binocular front camera and side cameras, the Core can be set to patrol your property on a schedule, monitoring for movement and sending alerts to your phone when activity is detected. Live video is accessible anytime through the app — from inside the house or from anywhere you have cell service. Useful for seasonal properties, large lots, or any situation where you want eyes on the yard without being there.
Wireless Auto-Recharging — When the battery drops to a set threshold, the Core navigates back to the docking station, charges, and resumes its task automatically. Up to 4 hours of continuous runtime per charge. No manual intervention. No interrupted work plans.
All-Weather Operation — IPX5 waterproofing and a rated operating range of -25°C to +60°C means the Core runs year-round in Ontario conditions without weather-related downtime. Tracks handle slopes up to 35° (70% grade) on grass, gravel, ice, and uneven terrain.
App Control (iOS & Android) — Every function — task scheduling, live video, zone mapping, module control, manual driving, route planning, obstacle settings, and firmware updates — is managed through the Yarbo app. Remote access works from anywhere.
Forward Compatibility — The Core is designed to support new Yarbo modules for at least 5 years from purchase. Modules released after you buy your Core will connect and work on the same platform — your investment doesn't become obsolete as the product line expands.
Who Buys the Core Standalone
Most customers buy the Core as part of a bundle — the Core is included in every Yarbo bundle on this site. The standalone Core makes sense if you're an existing Yarbo owner adding a second unit, a WALLE Corp commercial service customer purchasing additional platform capacity, or a buyer who wants to start with just the Core and the tow/patrol features before deciding which mowing or snow modules to add.
